Refund policy

1. Overview
Nomad Knot is a curated marketplace for authentic handmade rugs sold by independent sellers. Due to the nature of handmade and cross-border items, returns and refunds are subject to the conditions below.
2. Eligibility for Returns
Returns may be accepted only if all conditions are met:
• Request is submitted within 7 days of delivery
• Rug is unused, uncleaned, and in original condition
• Rug was not custom-made, custom-sized, or made-to-order
• Proof (photos/videos) is provided if the return is due to damage or defect
Custom or made-to-order rugs are non-returnable and non-refundable.
3. Non-Returnable Items
The following are not eligible for return or refund:
• Custom or commissioned rugs
• Rugs with size, color, or pattern variations inherent to handmade products
• Rugs damaged due to misuse, improper handling, or normal wear
• Items returned without prior approval
4. Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your rug arrives damaged or materially different from the listing:
• Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
• Provide clear photos/videos of the issue
• We will review and determine an appropriate resolution (replacement, partial refund, or full refund)
5. Return Shipping
• Approved returns must be shipped back using a trackable method
• Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility, unless the return is due to seller error or damage in transit
• Original shipping fees, customs duties, and taxes are non-refundable
6. Refund Processing
• Once the returned rug is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 7–10 business days
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method
• Marketplace commissions and transaction fees may be deducted where applicable
7. Cancellations
• Orders may be canceled only before shipment
• Once a rug has shipped, cancellation is no longer possible
• Custom orders cannot be canceled once production begins
8. Handmade Product Disclaimer
Because rugs are handmade, minor variations in color, size (±2–5 cm), and pattern are normal and are not considered defects.
9. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, buyers must first contact Nomad Knot support. We will mediate between buyer and seller and make a final determination based on evidence and policy.
